Transition Dressing

I went to the Tribeca Film festival last week with a friend who is a film buff. We found this great wall of LOVE, so on our way downtown, we decided to take some snaps right in front. Here are just a few things about why I love New York: All the surprise corners lurking around the bend, finding a cool spot, bumping into a friend, or having a great cup of joe at a new place. I wear loads of denim during this transitional weather. Spring can be so fickle. It doesn’t know whether to be hot or cold, sunny or wet. But really, there is no city quite like it. My Wish List

Fashion speaks a universal language, but not all cities give off the same vibe. As a New Yorker, I am used to wearing mostly black as that resonates with city streets and urban living. Recently I have been on a all-denim-all-the-time kick, and pairing it with black is just so boring. I like the combo of white mixed with browns and adding lots of textures to my daily look. So maybe after all, gasp!, I am not a New York girl. FarFetch, an international fashion website that stocks products from 300 independent boutiques around the world, came up with an online city quiz that finds the best city that suits your style. I took the quiz and was not in a state of shock with the... Read More

The Perfect Shirtdress

Denim speaks a universal style language. No matter where your travels take you, denim is always in. After all, what other garment has been so widely worn across decades and destinations? But, just because we all “speak denim,” that doesn’t mean every individual expresses it quite the same way. One of my favorite pieces right now for the transitional weather is the denim dress. In fact, it is the easiest piece in my spring wardrobe. I am almost finished with a huge closet makeover getting rid of the stuff I have accumulated over the past decade that no longer works or fits but the easy dresses will stay. I love the ease of the one piece dress. Let it flow loose, belt it, pair it with boots, sandals, or flip-flops and... Read More

Living in Denim

I’m not here to blog about the weather. We do have to get dressed in it’s various moods and Spring happens to be transitional and fussy. One day it’s super warm, like this past Saturday, and the next day its like today, Psych! Just kidding. It’s back to its gloomy rainy self. Spring weather is weird. I have technically put away all my sweaters and jackets but left out all the transitional pieces. Who is Spring’s best friend? Denim. Denim is like that really cool girl at school. Denim is fashion’s best friend, hangs out with everyone. Stripes. Flannel. Jackets. Camel. Sneakers. Khaki. Marcia Brady. Coachella. What? You name it. I am currently obsessed with any jeans with a flared hem, and ripped up boyfriend... Read More

Swing into Spring

It’s finally fashion weather outside! So get off the treadmill that you have been running on, and share the gams with the world you have been working so hard on on all winter long. We have spent the past few months trudging through snow to and from work, and then add getting to the gym, constantly praying for Mother’s Nature redemption when, finally, literally, today! you can let go of your tights. Put away those sweaters and snow boots, and start loving the city you ultimately hated just last week when early April snow showers hit the ground. I swore I was moving to Miami or California and this would be the year~ but then today happened and I lost all of my short-term memory... Read More

A Sunshine State of Mind

A short trip down to the Sunshine state does wonders for my body and mind. The beautiful weather, combined with sea breezes, barely-there clothes, and crystal clear blue waters, is the perfect antidote to the Northeast’s harsh winter. Coming home to still-chilly vibes, I need to consider getting a place to call my own to escape the winter blues. There were so many inspirational colorful photos to take, but I was too busy having fun! Vintage Story

I purchased this suede vintage jacket while away in Nashville a few weeks ago at Savant Vintage, one of my favorite haunts. The fit and the color were perfect, rare for a vintage piece, and obviously going right into my suitcase. Aways on the hunt for the next best thing is my motto and the thrill of finding rare vintage pieces always warrants a feeling of success, but without the price tag. It reminds me of the suede jackets seen at Chloe’s spring show in Paris. Next up? Finding that patchwork poncho. On My Radar

I won’t need to look far and wide for the two items that top my spring list, gladiators and pretty white lacy things. So simple yet so chic. Valentino has both for the taking, and I was also able to find similar looks for less. Score! for the perfect holiday looks. Happy Passover and Easter for those who celebrate. Let’s take it up a notch. Valentino dresses Shop the POST HERE:
