Fall Trends

As the long beachy days slowly wane,  I am wistful that summer is just about over. Yet at the same time, I am excited about the new prospects that fall always brings.  For all of you fashionettes, there is no season that offers more reasons to get out of bed in the morning and get dressed than fall.  Those amazing python sky high boots I started craving last February to the velvets, tweeds, capes, cords, denim and new shapes that are all there for the taking. The Latest Fashion Trend

The fashion folk started a trend last spring that continues to spark the imagination of trend-setting women worldwide. Feathers! Feathers are fabulous. They help embellish collars, add high style to cocktail dresses, spark bohemian jewelry, and are used as hair accessories for both adults and kids. They are a statement of femininity, luxury, and flirtatiousness.

Apparel Trade Shows Las Vegas: A Round-Up

I headed to Vegas for my very first MAGIC Convention and FN Platform Shoe Show. Anyone who is anyone in fashion or a related field was either exhibiting, buying, or blogging.  While MAGIC is the hub of the convention, the adjacent trade shows comprised of apparel, footwear, accessories, and social media resources as well.

The Venice Biennale

  For hundreds of years, writers and travelers have marveled at the beauty of Venice and sung the praises of the city of wonder. If ever a city has been the quintessential example of beauty and grace, love and magical pleasures, that city is Venice. Venice, only approached by sea, emerges before your eyes with domes and pinnacles and towers on the horizon.

Florence Day

  When in Florence. As anybody who has been to Florence and its environs can attest, it is one of the most magnificent places on earth.  I studied Art History in Florence during my Junior Year Abroad program in college, and I will never forget the incredible memories of studying Art, speaking Italian, traveling all over, and indulging in the incredible culture.
