White is the new black

Summer finally arrived and white clothing rules the streets. This summer’s whites are pure, elegant perfection.

Fashion law states after Memorial Day, we wear white. Even if die hard New Yorkers are back in all-black next week.The palest shade is now turning up in shapes that are far more alluring than seasons past.
 Crochet, lace, and eyelet numbers are the fabrics du jour. Even linen, played properly, works.


All white without texture is just plain boring. Kind of like a Mr. Clean uniform. Today on this blistery hot June day, I am wearing a Tracey Feith white eyelet triple tiered halter dress with a front zip that just feels new and fresh for this season.

Maxi-dresses abound if you are fashion forward.  Short cropped dresses are perfect for a day at the office. Sheer tunics, itty-bitty frocks, and of course white jeans, are great basics to have.
