Silver Streaks

It’s no secret that I love shoes. If you keep up to date with my currently obsessed, you would know that a lot of the goods from my vault are usually of a footwear variety of some sort. Sometimes a shoe can define a moment, the beginning of a thought process and I blame Sex and the City for a high percentage of my major shoe fetish. These simple metallic sandals below had me thinking about both silver and the chunky heel. After abandoning the shade for a warmer shade of gold see Accessorize it, I have found a lost craving for gun metal, cue the 31 Minute bag. It has a cooling effect– great for those hot summer months when all you want to do is drink a Margarita. On the rocks please. And in a sea of frail, elegant heels, it’s also quite refreshing to see a shoe that will keep us far off the ground. Good news for the vertically challenged. 🙂 This notion just comes to show how quickly things can become fresh again in the fashion space.

Now that we are into June, a seamless transition from break-the-bank footwear we go to a real attraction to less expensive footwear right here.  These color-blocked double metallic straps could pass as a Runway piece, see Stella McCartney Lomax satin sandals, Pierre Hardy tricolor wedge, DVF leather and rubber wedges, but these Edelmans are good knockoffs of the real McCoy. Speaking of the real McCoy, I am still in love with these Givenchy python spiked heel sandals. Remember? I bought those at full price because they have the right harmonious mix of elegance and edge. Therefore, impossible to duplicate. Hashtag chic to the next lev.

Finally, OMG– the Net-A-Porter End of Season Sale is currently under way. I am eyeing these Rochas platforms..What are you getting? I need to know. Cha-ching.

Happy Friday!  xxoo
