Kate Moss

Kate Moss is back with a vengeance, and is one of my all-time favorite models and style icons. From her trademark furs to cut-off shorts and knee-high wellies, Kate Moss has been a sartorial vanguard since she first stepped into the spotlight. Best said: anything she wears turns to gold. Am I right?

katemoss When Kate’s first Topshop collaboration came out in London in 2007, I was one of the thousands of people queuing outside of the building, desperate to grab any faux-fur gilet or vintage flapper dress within reach. I grabbed a black glittery tank top with a tie at the neck which I still wear, and am still coveting most of that collection that got away out in minutes

Three and a half years later, she is designing a capsule collection for Topshop. Back with a capital B, her new clothes, accessories and SHOES! are inspired by her own personal wardrobe. As if we didn’t already know it, this future capsule collection releasing sometime this spring, shows that Kate will forever be in our hearts and hopefully our wallets as well. Do you think she is still as relevant as she was in 2007?

Moss is also joining British Vogue as a contributing fashion editor and her first story will be in the upcoming Spring issue. While surprising, it’s really not that far off considering some of our favorite editors (cSee: Carine Roitfeld, Grace Coddington) modeled before continuing on to the biggest fashion magazines in the business.

Between this and her Topshop collection, I am excited to see what Kate’s got in store for us. Down below, I’ve pulled some looks to get your head thinking as to what you might purchase from Topshop.

Here’s a song that popped into my inbox, and I thought it was so cool just in time for the weekend.

Happy Friday! xx

“In the midst of traffic, meetings, anxiety, preconceptions, and the sorts—most of us are all too caught up. Sometimes I have to remind myself that none of what bogs me down really matters. What matters is that I surrender to the present moment.”
