Ahh Fall. The season of crisp blue sky mornings, the smell of apples, off-the-shoulder chunky sweaters, pumpkin spiced-lattes, and cool nights. There’s just something so magical about the season. For me, when the days get a little shorter, and the air gets a little bit colder, I turn my attention to the art of layering. I can recall when I was in high school, on my walks to and from home, the beauty of fall. Even back then, I loved wearing fall clothing. My go-to everyday uniform consisted of high-waisted jeans, a fluffy mohair sweater, a denim jacket, and clogs. And not much has changed. For sure, football games and fall clothing were my jam. Not my homework. Now that my summer whites put away, my favorite go-to for fall is the softer side of millennial pink, dusty pink. And especially dusty pink florals. You can even try them out at Rent the Runway if you are not sure!
How to wear floral dresses and boots
Statement dressing made easy in this weather with the addition of layers. I will continue to wear flirty dresses as long as I have a jacket and boots. Here I added a burgundy velvet bag, skin tight black sock boots, the trend of the season, and paired it with a vintage denim jacket.

The resurgence of reds, yellows, and blues are bursting out on the streets, but I am drawn to dusty pink. This hue has been having so much airtime on the ramp and off. The great thing about it is how well it works with all skin tones. You can’t go wrong. Dusty pink floral dresses are so feminine against the black booties and denim.
