Crush-Worthy Velvet

November has arrived, and you know what that means? For the next two months, your calendar will be filled with many joyous occasions, Thanksgiving, office parties, and of course the holidays. I embrace this time of year, although definitely  not the cold, but the getting together with friends and family, the warm spirit, and the bright lights that shine upon city streets. And so, accordingly you will look into your closet and declare that you have nothing to wear for the occasion. This is where I, your fashion guru, come in. Right now is the perfect time to pull out all the stops in the wardrobe department with some crush-worthy velvet. Enter stage left.

Want to be royals or not, say goodbye to the hideous crushed velvet of the 90’s, and think deep rich hues of burgundy, green and black in sleek architectural cuts. I can’t think of a better time to drape myself in velvet than right now. The key is to balance out the richness of velvet with denim or leather. I have been wearing these black velvet flared jeans with a T-shirt and love the comfort and style. It’s as easy as that pumpkin pie you are attempting to make right now.

As for my holidays calendar? I have a few events that require more than just your typical dress and will need to make an entrance. These pieces, especially velvet shoes, will be sure to do just that. Click below on the text or the photos to take you to the links.
