The styles on the street

Has Fashion Week become one big beauty pageant? The runway shows are one part, the celebs in the front row another, but the poser begging to be photographed is the true unspoken battle on the streets outside of Lincoln Center, Milk Studios, and the Piers. What are the rules? Getting dressed and looking good is Rule 1. For the Carine Roitfields and the Olsen twins of the world, getting photographed for The Cut or The Sartorialist is a given. But if you are a FW plebleian like me, you can capture the attention of the camera. I definitely don’t have all the answers. It is an attainable art to dress like a rockstar. This season, it seemed like everyone managed to rummage through a man’s closet prior to showing up: Beat-up denim jeans, flannel shirts, and oversized sweaters. The street really provides a perfect base for splashes of crazy in the form of little socks, clashing prints, loads of neon, and look-at-me sunglasses. Or you could go full-on into head-to-toe Celine which will garner just the right attention. Check out these street style looks that really brought it this season, and keep them in mind the next time you walk on by. What’s your favorite street style look?

Of course just being Anna, doesn’t hurt.
