What: My hands from Super Saturday, the Rolls Royce of garage sales.

The buzz: Super Saturday 16 is OCRF’s fun-filled, family oriented daylong fundraiser, complete with a one-of-a-kind designer garage sale, kids’ carnival and activities, a luxury raffle and gourmet treats. It is a benefit for OCRF, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, a charity for Ovarian Cancer that I am very passionate about, since the passing of Liz Tilberis, the former Editrix of Harper’s Bazaar.

Who: There are over 200 prominent designers including: Donna Karan, Theory, alice + olivia, Robert Rodriguez, Diane von Furstenberg, Helmut Lang, Intermix, Scoop NYC, Joie, JBrand and Ralph Lauren.  I am most looking forward to the “Designers A to Zoe” booth by Rachel Zoe. Her fancy schmancy picks of the litter from Proenza Schouler, Chloe, J Mendel, Saint Laurent, VERSACE are usually gone by 1pm.

This is a time I where I shop for a cause and it feels so good — one year I scored a Dyson vacuum cleaner!
