On the streets of Milan

Here is how fashion lives on the streets. The shows moved to Milan quicker than you can check the internet sites, and although the crazy creativeness appears right now on the runways, here is how you wear lust-worthy objects such as these shoes outside of the tents. This pictures was shot yesterday by Nam and I found it in Grazia–an Italian magazine from day two of a Milan style blog. The title  just said “Scarpe con Tacco Alto”, translated into “Shoes with High Heels”. I love the Italians. It was only six months ago that these Prada Tailfin shoes came soaring down the runway and voila! Here they are, appearing on the  street of Milan, flames and all. These shoes were made, just my guess, with a sense of irony in mind, a pushed idea at Miuccia Prada’s Spring 2012 show. Prada’s publicity copy for these auto-inspired accessories ads go like this: “Bathed in sunlight. Fueled by optimism. Girls and cars stop and stare at the future in this Technicolor mise-en-scéne of desire.” I wholeheartedly agree. I want to get into these shoes and zoom right over the pond to Milan, right now, because although I would want a Ferrari –it doesn’t swim. Demonstrative? Check. Wearable? Check.
