Happy Cyber Monday! Hope everybody had a nice long weekend filled with love family and friends. Today, I am talking about velvetone of the warmest coziest fabrics of the season. In addition, velvet is one of those materials you love or hate. While some people can’t stand the texture of it on their skin, I can totally get behind a chic head-to-toe velvet look. While velvet can look super cheap and tacky, stick to classic pieces like a jacket or pants for a perfect holiday look. Velvet is really chic, and sort of badass in a not-so-traditional kind of way. Take this velvet suit that I am wearing, for example. It’s not everyday you see someone rocking one of these, which makes me want to wear mine even more. The feeling of being draped in velvet is like nothing else.

The trickiest velvet style is actually the velvet dress. A dress can look very literal for the holidays or look like an ice skating costume. A big fashion fail. Velvet dresses are not flattering on me, but maybe you will have better luck!

For my velvet suit outfit of the day, I threw on a logo sweatshirt, a velvet bag, and a pair of black sneakers to add a casual vibe and of course, comfort. This is an office-apropos look, and ready to rock that holiday party. For evening, I would replace the sweatshirt with an off-the-shoulder top, and a pair of heels like these.

Happy Cyber Monday, and don’t forget to shop my hunts for the best of the best on sale today!
