Charleston Memorial Day Weekend

Where is everyone going for Memorial Day weekend? While I usually head to my parents beach house in the Hamptons to commemorate summer’s beginning, this year will different. I will be headed to the very popular, charming city of Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston is ranked one of America’s favorite small cities and after doing some research, there more than a few reasons why. There are great restaurants and bars, shopping streets, and strolls to be had. I am looking forward to a much slower change of pace. So, if you happen to find yourself heading “down south” this weekend, you too are most likely racking your brain for just the right outfit to announce the arrival of summertime.

Early Riser

I actually don’t have any set plans besides dinners out but I know I will want to get a little workout in before the day begins. Of course, I am looking forward to taking a run, and then ending it with a great cup of coffee to celebrate. As a true New Yorker does, I compiled all the lists of the top artisanal coffee spots to hit. Because coffee is more than just caffeine. As a coffee connoisseur, Black Tap is one of those to hit. As far as what I will be wearing, Bandier, one of my favorite spots to get workout clothing, is having a Memorial Day sale.

Southern Stroll 

I am going to keep it simple for my daytime looks as it is going to be in the 90’s when I arrive. My uniform will be dresses or cold shoulder tops with denim for the most part. Comfort is key wherever I end up. Oh yeah, Far Fetch and Net-A-Porter is having a huge 50% off sale, so head on over there for all your summer looks!

Evening Fun

Dinner will become the center of attention for me. I love going out to eat and taking in the atmosphere. Because I am only bringing a few dresses, adding a sparkly heel and some fun earrings will spice it up!
