Being sick for a few days really sucks. First of all, it was a beautiful summer weekend. And more than anything I hate it’s being stuck in bed. Will not bore you with the details, as I am sure you can all relate. But as a constant do-er, it was, and still is hard for me to sit still. A change from regular programming, I had a few takeaways from the experience. I decided to take a more positive approach about the situation. One of the perks to being at home, was that I cleaned out my closets. I still was hanging onto some items that I no longer love, and was also missing some key pieces. For those feeling like their daily getup is getting a bit stale, this is for you.
The takeaway? It’s time to read more, express empathy, give myself a break, and choose khaki over black.
My phone feels like an appendage of my body. Rather than living through the screen, I took a social media break and lived my life. I want to get into reading books again. This is very inspiring and will incorporate it in my weekend routine. Any book recommendations please send them my way!
Khaki over black
Cape Robbin faux fur slides
The khaki sales-clerk staple has been reclaimed to high-fashion status. Such designers as Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Christian Dior, and Prada are just a few of the brands that went back to khaki’s roots, sending out variations on the iconic khaki trench. So why wait? Get a jump on the look and incorporate some khaki pieces in any form you choose, from blazers to skirts, the option are seemingly endless.
Taking time to myself
If there is anything in life you can’t buy back, it’s the concept of time. Trying to live this way every day is challenging, and I intend to make it a part of my daily routine.
Finally, here are some chic khaki pieces to buy now that the weather is giving us some sunshine. Even better they are on sale!
